01
Licence
The extension is released under the MIT licence. You may use, copy, modify and redistribute it under that licence, which is included with the source code. The licence text governs where these terms and it disagree.
02
No affiliation
SocialStalker is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to Meta Platforms, Instagram or Facebook. Those names are used only to describe what the extension works with.
03
Your responsibilities
By installing the extension you accept that:
- You are responsible for complying with the terms of service of any platform you use it on. Automated access and bulk downloading may breach those terms, and enforcement is between you and the platform.
- Downloaded content usually belongs to whoever made it. Copyright, database rights and image rights all still apply, and this software grants you none of them.
- You will not use it to harass, stalk, impersonate or surveil anyone, and you will respect applicable privacy and data protection law where you live.
- It gives you no access you do not already have. If you cannot see something while signed in, the extension cannot fetch it.
04
No warranty
The software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Features depend on private platform endpoints and undocumented markup, both of which change without notice; nothing here is a promise that any given feature will keep working.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any claim, damages or other liability arising from the software or its use, including account restrictions imposed by a platform, lost data or failed downloads.
05
Availability
The extension may be updated, restructured or withdrawn from the Chrome Web Store at any time, and no support level is guaranteed. The source remains available under its licence regardless.
